CARDS – the photo side

There are 80 cards in the set. The photos are original, taken with a camera, captured by Ewa Gerwatowska, an enthusiast of photography. Surely, you won’t find such pictures anywhere else.
There is a Chinese proverb “One picture is worth more than a thousand words”
Indeed, since ancient times, people have been used to be surrounded by the world of symbols expressed by pictures.

Reaching for a specific photo card can be a beginning to look into the closed world of our
beliefs, values, emotions and relationships that connect us with the environment.

The translation of the image into words is slow. In the process of contemplation and
conversation, subconscious feelings released in the form of an image are transferred into our
consciousness. Working on taking the images out of our subconscious mind allows us to
become aware of many limitations and stereotypes, as well as to tame them and open the mind
to change and development.

The photo card can be used for:
– working with metaphor
– forming and visualizing a goal
– introductory round
– final round

CARDS- picture side

The cards are double-sided, there is a drawing on the other side of each photo card. The drawings are original, drawn by Agata Jakuszko Sobocka. It was Agata who put on paper my visions concerning situations in the areas of: emotions, resources, reactions and relationships.

Working with a drawing is projective work related to the description of stimuli, associations, thoughts about what we see, our experiences, what is inside us.

Working with a drawing helps to express what is difficult to express in words. Talking about a chosen drawing allows us to speak clearly and honestly about what is deep inside us, our deepest feelings, in a way that is safe. Thus, it is easier to notice the reality, the mechanisms we were not fully aware of and which significantly affect our lives. Looking at the drawings also makes it easier to look for solutions and generate possible options.

Working with a picture card can be used for:
– looking at the reality
– generating possible options
– going deeper into the subject, e.g. choosing a photo card that is a metaphor of your goal, and then turning it to a         picture side and asking oneself questions:
– if this picture was your first  image of your reality, what would be there?
– If it was your first clue to realizing your goal, what would it be?
– If it was your first obstacle to realizing your goal, what would it be?

Wooden boards with questions

We have had a natural ability to ask questions since we started to speak.

Is there anybody who, as a child, didn’t ask „what’s this?”, „what is it for?” or „why?”

Exactly, questions stimulate us to look for solutions. Very often, we ask them in our thoughts and more often than not, they keep ringing in our minds for ages: What if I had done that…? What if I had chosen that…?
Hearing a question out loud, actually asking it, releases a whole range of possibilities.

What I often hear from a client is why didn’t anybody ask this before?

A choice of a question that a client is trying to answer, reaching out for a wooden board with a question is a loud search for an answer.

Questions can be used when:
– the client chooses what questions he is searching for answers to
– the client chooses questions to which he already knows the answer
– You choose a question for the client
– you start a session / meeting with a question, for example: Who do you trust?

Wooden circles
These are the 40 words that relate to some of the most important areas of our lives. Strengths, resources, talents and probably many more words could be found to reflect what is inside us, what allows us to think and talk about ourselves with pride, and thus to build self-confidence and self-esteem.
How do I feel? What emotions am I facing? The area of emotions is so important in everyday reactions. Every now and then emotions influence our choices and behavior. The consequences of these choices are our reactions and the relationships we create with others.
Relationships that we care for, strengthen or end.
And again, how often can you hear “I could have bitten my tongue” “I could have counted to 10”
You will find the words from these 4 areas on 40 wooden circles, that children called “the wooden tokens”

The circles can be used:
– for naming specific emotions, resources, reactions and relationships
– to describe reality

A string – that intriguing and seemingly insignificant thing will serve many important discoveries

Again, I will use the words I often hear when I work with clients:
“My mother tells me that I should ..”
“A friend advises me to…”
“My father would like that for me …”
We often consider the advice of others when making choices for ourselves. It even happens that we accept the perspective of another person, despite feeling how much it is not ours, how much it hurts us.
Working with a string allows you to look at things from two perspectives, on one side you can put cards that show your reality and your goals, on the other, the goals and the reality of another person / team.
You can use the string to view your goals in the long term, creating a timeline.

The string can also be used:
– to broaden the perspective
– for the timeline exercise
– for the reverse calendar exercise
– for visualization of the entire process
– goal setting and goal implementation
